WWE Universe Giving Out Free Clothing At The Polls In Connecticut

WWE Universe issued the following press release:

STAMFORD, Conn. - To celebrate the victory of restoring voters' right to wear WWE clothing at the polls, World Wrestling Entertainment will be giving away WWE merchandise near select Connecticut poll locations on Election Day, this Tuesday, Nov. 2.

"I can't think of a better way for WWE fans to celebrate their constitutional rights and freedom of expression while voting than to proudly wear the WWE merchandise that Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz attempted to prohibit from the polls," said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO, World Wrestling Entertainment.

 

Out of respect for voters from all political parties, WWE will not be handing out merchandise within 75 feet of polling locations, and merchandise will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Recently released WWE developmental worker Rudy Parker said on his Facebook page he left the company over money because he couldn't afford to pay back his student loans.

WWE Star CM Punk Injury Update

WWE Star CM Punk is injured but the severity is unknown. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion underwent an MRI on Tuesday to evaluate issues with his hip. Friends of Punk have said he is "very nervous" about his condition but it's unknown if even Punk himself knows the diagnosis as of this writing.

WWE Hall Of Famer Backstage At TNA Wrestling Show

WWE Survivor Series is the second longest running WWE pay-per-view event in WWE history, behind WWE WrestleMania. The first WWE Survivor Series, held in 1987, came on the heels of the incredible success of WWE WrestleMania III, as the WWF began to see the lucrative potential of the WWE pay-per-view market. During a press conference held on February 11, 2010, WWE announced that it would drop the Survivor Series name and rebrand the event. However, in June, 2010, the event was added back onto the WWE's upcoming schedule.

Advertised WWE Smackdown Main Event For WWE Survivor Series

Local advertisements are promoting Kane vs. Edge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series next month. That is by no means confirmed, but we'll see if that's the direction they are leaning at tonight's WWE Smackdown taping. WWE Star Edge is now a babyface on  WWE Smackdown and WWE Star The Undertaker is expected to take time off.

Mr. McMahon Files Lawsuit Over WWE Clothing Ban At The Polls

WWE issued the following press release:

STAMFORD, Conn., October 26, 2010 - "On behalf of myself, my company, WWE fans and any Connecticut citizen who wants to exercise their constitutional right to vote, I have filed a lawsuit today asserting that Susan Bysiewicz's directive that allows poll workers to refuse registered voters wearing WWE merchandise the right to vote is a flagrant act of censorship and discrimination," said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO, World Wrestling Entertainment.
