WWE Raw Results: 7/5/10

RAW Opener:
Nexus is standing in a line in the ring and they are getting booed heavily. Wade Barrett says he got an email from the GM saying they will recieve appropriate consequences for their actions. Barrett says they can't reveal why they attacked Mr. McMahon, but it is part of a much bigger picture. He says things changed very quickly, and that Vince had no idea about their agenda. Skip Sheffield says unlike the attack of Vince, they attacked the legends for fun, because they found a loophole in the GM's rules. He says the fans won't admit it, but the fans loved it, and the fact is more people are interested in Steamboat's DVD than before their attack, and Steamboat should thank them.
Michael Cole reads an email from the GM and it says none of the Nexus can compete for a WWE title until further notice, and the no contact rule between Nexus and Superstars has been lifted. John Cena's music hits and he comes out and says the seven of them have done alot, but they haven't had a fair fight yet. He says if the math is right it would be 7 on 7, and introduces some of the faces. As they make their way out, they are ambushed by a group of heels, but the faces get control and Cena's hits the Attitude Adjustment on one of the Usos. Sheamus is at the top of the ramp and he says Cena doesn't get it, but the Nexus seems to attack Cena the most, and the guys on the stage support it. He says he won't join Cena to fight Nexus, and says if anyone had brains the guys in the ring would too. Randy Orton says he and Cena aren't friends and never will be, unless they have to. He says if they can't finish what they started with Nexus, then they should finish with the seven of the men on the ring.
Cole gets another email and says the MITB participants will all be in action against each other in a series of matches, and Cena will be in the ring with Barrett. He says, it won't be a match, the GM wants to have Cena and Barrett shake hands and call a truce. The GM says he needs Cena to be the bigger man or he will take appropriate action against Cena, and THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE THE GM SAID SO! Hmm things are getting interesting as the faces in the ring looked confused about what the email just aluded to.
- John Morrison vs Ted DiBiase (w/ Maryse)
Ted chokes Morrison on the ropes then Ted knees him in the midsection before putting him in a body scissors. Ted drops Morrison throat first on the ropes and taunts the fans then Morrison gets a school boy for two. Morrison heel kicks Ted and gets a two count, then hits an enziguiri and both men are down. Maryse takes Morrison's coat from ringside and puts it on a distracts the ref on the ring steps. Ted takes the opportunity to poke Morrison in the eye, and hits Dream Street for the win. After the bell, Ted and Maryse embrace and Maryse throws Morrison's coat on him on the mat.
Winner - Ted DiBiase
Kozlov and Santino are walking backstage, and Santino says this is a good thing, and that Kozlov won't regret this. He says the Russians and Italians will be together again like World War II, but this time with no Nazis and asks for a high five. Kozlov speaks in Russian and then says it means if they lose, he will put his fist into Santino's face.
- Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov def . William Regal & The Great Khali
Regal and Kozlov lock up and Kozlov hits a shoulder block and then headbutts Regal, and tags in Santino. Santino hits a bottom rope ax handle and then goes for the Cobra strike and walks into a throw from Regal. He gets the tag to Kozlov as he is flying across the ring and Kozlov shoves Regal and hits the Iron Curtain for the win.
After the match Santino celebrates and then Khali gets in and asks for the two of then to stand Regal up. He chops Regal in the head and then stands with Ranjin, Santino and Kozlov as they celebrate.
Arn Anderson is in the back with Josh Mathews and Arn says the footage of the Nexus is hard to watch, and that Steamboat is in bad shape. Sheamus comes up behind him and says to cry him a river. He says Arn used to be The Enforcer, but now he is a pathetic old man. Arn says he know what he used to be, but he knows what it means to have a hostile takeover. He tells Sheamus to put everything aside with Cena and fight for the company. Sheamus says Nexus is smarter than the Four Horseman ever were, because Nexus are smart enough to stay out of his business. Arn tells him he better listen up and join some of the guys in the locker room, because it won't matter if he is the champion, because he will be the great white shark patrolling an empty mudhole.
- R-Truth vs The Miz
Miz comes out mocking Truth's entrance, and he raps about why he will win MITB. Miz ends with saying he's awesome and slams the microphone into Truth's head. Miz works Truth around the outside of the ring and punches him and kicks his arm on the apron. Miz concentrates on Truth's elbow and slams it down and Truth is reeling in pain as Miz stares blankly from the ring.
Miz asks Truth if it hurts, because that's what he wanted to happen. Trainers are helping Truth to the back and Miz says he's glad it hurts, because the truth hurts. He says the same thing will happen to everyone he steps in the ring with, and that's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, because he's the Miz, and he's awesome.
The Cutting Edge (w/ guests Chris Jericho & Evan Bourne)
Edge says before he begins he would like a moment of silence for R-Truth, he only knew one song but he knew it well. Edge says he is smarter than everyone else here, and he won't make seven enemies, he'll make seven friends in Nexus. He says all they need is a little direction, and he knows where this is going. He says whoever gets the breifcase has always become champion, and says MITB is equal to winning the WWE Championship. Edge says he has done it twice, unlike his two guests, and introduces Evan Bourne, but gets Chris Jericho instead. Jericho gets in his face and says he doesn't take a backseat to Evan Bourne or anyone. He says Edge is out there trying to pander to Nexus to not attack them, but he was Wade Barrett's mentor. He says Barrett attacked Steamboat exactly like Jericho did at Wrestlemania last year. He says if anyone will be Nexus' unofficial advisor, it will be him.
Edge asks why Jericho thinks Nexus would help him, when he couldn't even beat Evan Bourne two weeks ago. Jericho says he's the guy that beat Edge decisively at Wrestlemania, and Edge makes excuses saying it was because his mind was clouded with pleasing the fans. Jericho says Edge always wanted to be Jericho, and says he got long blonde hair, a championship, and a talk show just so he could be like Jericho. Jericho says no one is going to knock him off his perch, and he will win MITB and make sure Edge never gets a title shot again. Edge attacks Jericho and whips him into a ladder but Jericho reverses and puts Edge in the Walls of Jericho. Evan Bourne comes out and knees Jericho in the head and gets out of the ring as Jericho and Edge try to attack him.
Cole gets another email and it says, "if you want to see some action, give me a hell yeah!" Cole says whether they like it or not they will have a match and asks the ring to be cleared of the carpet and ladders. He says the match will be Jericho & Edge against Evan Bourne and Randy Orton!
- Evan Bourne & Randy Orton def. Chris Jericho & Edge
Bourne starts off against Jericho and Jericho works over Bourne until Bourne hits and elbow and a running dropkick for a two count. Bourne tags in Orton and he hits some European uppercuts on Jericho and sets up for an RKO, but Jericho runs away and tags in Edge. Edge reluctantly gets in the ring and gets clotheslined by Orton and then Orton kicks Edge in the knee a few times. Bourne gets back in and he dropkicks Edge while Orton holds Edge down. Edge tags Jericho in and Bourne kicks Jericho in the legs and then sends Jericho to the outside. Bourne hits a slingshot crossbody on Jericho on the outside and then rolls him back inside and Bourne kicks Jericho again.
Jericho takes down Bourne and then tags in Edge who has Bourne in a hammerlock on the ground. Bourne tries to fight out and kicks Edge, but Edge grabs him and hits a reverse face buster for two. Jericho tags in again and he hits a backbreaker on Bourne, holds it, and tells the ref to ask Bourne to quit. Edge gets in again and tries to suplex Bourne, but Bourne knee him in the head and get out of it and both guys are down. Edge tries to tag Jericho, who is hesistant before finally tagging, and walks right into Orton who also tagged in. Orton sets up Jericho on the ropes and hits a DDT and then pounds the mat and it's RKO time. He jumps up but Edge distracts him, and Jericho knocks Orton down. Edge tags in and kicks Orton's shoulder, then kicks him in the corner until Jericho tags back in again.
Orton fights back and tries running the ropes but Jericho dropkicks him and gets a two count. He picks Orton up and flips him into a rear chokehold, but it doesn't last long as Orton tries getting up so Jericho hits a bulldog. Jericho goes for the Lionsault, but no one is home and both men are down on the mat. Jericho tags in a reluctant Edge, and meets a hurricanrana and heel kick from Evan Bourne. Jericho talks smack to Edge as says he better tag him in and listen to him. Bourne kicks Jericho in the head and then Edge pops up and spears Jericho. Edge walks out on Jericho and Bourne goes to the top rope. He connects with Air Bourne as Edge goes up the ramp.
After the bell Evan Bourne celebrates on the ropes and then walks right into the RKO from Orton. Orton smirks and looks up the ramp before he gets out of the ring and leaves Bourne on the mat.
Randy Orton is walking backstage and runs into David Otunga, Heath Slater and Michael Tarver. They say they are trying to apologize, and Slater says they give their word that they will not interfere in the MITB contract. They can't say they same for the steel cage match, but Otunga says Orton should think about what is going on before he joins John Cena's side in this fight. Orton says he has heard what they said, and tells them to get out of his face.
Josh Mathews is in the back and he says they got an email saying there will be another title match at the Money In The Bank PPV, and it will be the Hart Dynasty defending against the Jay and Jimmy Uso. The Usos come in and say this is what they have been waiting for for since they came in to WWE. They say Josh can't tell the difference between the two Usos and he can't. Tamina tells him which is which, and they say once they beat the Hart Dynasty for titles, everyone will know who they are. They walk away and Josh thanks them, then turns around and sees Alicia Fox. She says she hasn't been interviewed since she won the Divas title and wants to know why. She asks she isn't worth his time and she says Josh is lucky to be in her presence. She says it was not a fluke at Fatal 4 Way, and they better watch what she does to Eve right now.
- Divas Championship Match Alicia Fox def. Eve Torres
Eve rolls off Alicia shoulders and hits a dropkick and hits a hair drag hip toss. Alicia looks like she is in pain and the ref pulls Eve away from her and checks to see if she can still compete. Alicia says she wants to still fight and the ref backs off and she knees a charging Eve in the head. Alicia hits the axe kick on Eve and gets the win, then wiggles her leg showing everyone that her ankle is just fine.
Wade Barrett makes his way out to the ring and we are going to see the "truce" between Cena and the Nexus. Barrett gets a mic and says he won't sugarcoat what they did, but he will say that everything they did had a purpose. He says Cena was unfortunately in the middle of everything, but he wants Cena to come out and shake hands.
Cena comes out and checks to see if any of the other Nexus members are around. He gets in the ring and Barrett says they have caused him a lot of harm and cost him the title, but he says Cena isn't in Nexus' future plans. He says he will shake his hand so they can look to the future and move on, because Nexus will be there for a long time. Barrett says the choice is Cena's, and Cena asks if they shake hands that it all stops. Cena says the GM wanted to do the truce, but he wants to know if Barrett really wants to do it. Cena and Barrett look like they will shake hands, then Cena says why stop when they are still having so much fun? Cena says he is looking to the future too, and says take your plans and truces, and they can stick them up his Nexus. Cena says he is going to take every single one of the Nexus down, and that is his future, and that is his word. Barrett says what they did to him is nothing compared to what they do to him in the future. He says Cena was never part of the plan, but look at what they did to Bret Hart, and Barrett tells Cena he better shake hands and this is his last chance or he will face severe consequences.
Cena shakes hands with Barrett and then pulls him close to him and puts Barrett up for an Attitude Adjustment! Nexus hits the ring before Cena can drop the move and they start pounding on Cena, until Bourne and Morrison try to make the save. Nexus takes them out as well, as stands off as Mark Henry's music plays and he leads more of the locker room down to the ring. Nexus clears the ring and they retreat up the ramp as Michael Cole gets another email.
He calls for attention and says the GM wanted peace, so if things don't stop now, there will be consequences. Cena is still in the ring and puts Darren Young in the STF and Michael Cole gets another email. Cole says because of Cena's actions, he will face all seven Nexus members in a handicap match next week. Cena looks pissed and goes after Darren Young again and clotheslines him off the ropes. Cena looks like he is going to lose it and turns back around and circles Young before throwing him shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Cena finally leaves the ring but takes apart the ring steps and throws them into Darren Young's head. Cena is psyching up here and picks Young up and throws him over the announcer's table. Cena throws his handsigns up and says it's only six on one now and poses on the turnbuckle as RAW goes off the air.
